This is my second tower mouse, so I'm already used to the feel. They are the most comfortable design for long term use of a computer mouse. This unit seems well made. It is light. I like the design with the gold accent. It gives it a touch of class. Very happy with it.

My assessment after messing with it for 15 minutes (can't tell you anything about the longevity of it yet):Lightweight, easy to pick up. A big plus for me is the solid plastic chassis, rather than the grippy rubber a lot of mice have which tends to get gummy after a while. It's very comfortable if you have medium-large hands like me (my girlfriend tried it and it was too big for hers). The only con I could see in terms of ergonomics is that unlike a regular mouse which has the flat part of your wrist resting on the desk, this position forces the corner of you palm/wrist to poke into the table, which could get uncomfortable. It's not a problem for me because my desk it set up such that my wrist hangs off the edge instead of resting on the surface. It's my first vertical mouse and I was surprised that I didn't need to spend some time getting used to it, it feels totally normal. All the buttons are easy to reach and they are all programable except for the one that switches which device you're connected to, kind of a bummer because I only use the mouse on one device so this is a wasted button. However you can reassign the dpi switch button which gives you a total of 3 extra buttons that can be assigned to whatever keys or key combinations you want, plus a few misc functions to choose from. And of course you can also change what the normal mouse buttons 1, 2 and 3 do if you wish. The software for doing this is very lightweight and straightforward, no complaints there. The mouse is also very quiet compared to a regular one.Overall it doesn't make me feel like I'm walking with the gods or anything, but it seems like a solid good quality mouse. I picked it up on sale for $40 which feels like what it's worth, and honestly if I paid the full $70, I'd expect a little more. Unless it's on sale I'd try the logi vertical one instead. The $70 pricetag is why I'm giving it 4 stars.

Could have been great. I tested 3 vertical mice: the Razer pro click v2, the keychron m5, and this.The mam4 was the most comfortable of the 3, with the best thumb button placement, and a good comfortable wrist angle. Overall build felt good, but mouse clicks are spongy. The software for the mam4 was lightweight which was nice as well.I was set to choose the mam4, but I found 2 issues I couldn't overlook. Slow straight movements don't immediately get picked up by the mouse. I was trying to do fine movements with 1000hz polling rate and 3200dpi resolution, and was able to move the mouse up and down by a half inch without the cursor moving. It made fine movements much more difficult than any other mouse I've ever used.Additionally, the fast scroll is not an unlocking wheel like most mice. It's a slightly heavy wheel that you can flick, but with no control of speed or duration, which is only useful to get to the end of a long document, not anywhere in the middle.

The ergonomic design feels very natural for my hand and helps reduce wrist strain during long hours at the computer. Battery life has been excellent so far. I only needed to charge it once after many days of regular use, and the tri-mode connection worked seamlessly with both my laptop and desktop. Pairing was quick and hassle-free. Highly recommend!
